Better-Than-Store-Bought Hummus

We LOVE hummus in our house and sure it's easy to buy at the store, but making your own is always so much better!

Servings 2.5 cups


  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 1 can garbanzo beans, half the liquid reserved 19 ounce can
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  • In a blender or food processor, chop the garlic.
  • Add garbanzo beans, lemon juice, tahini, and salt.
  • Blend until creamy and well mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a medium serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle with pepper and pour olive oil over the top.
